Terekke

Terekke is Matt Gardner, a Brooklyn producer whose hazy, tape worn deep house made him one of the defining artists on Ron Morelli's L.I.E.S. label. His first record, Damn, came out in 2011 among the label's earliest releases, and the 2013 EP Yyyyyyyyyy turned the murky, blissful Amaze into an underground club anthem. He has also released anonymously, including an EP credited to X on Rush Hour's No Label series, and a digital ambient EP followed in 2015. His debut album Plant Age arrived on L.I.E.S. in 2017, and Improvisational Loops on Music From Memory stretched his morphing chords and soft grain into pure ambience, a sound that suits a listening stage as well as a dark room.
