The DJ Producer

The DJ Producer is Luke McMillan, a Bath DJ who came up through the rave scene of south-west England. He started as a scratch DJ in the late eighties under the name DJ Quickcut, worked at Bass Bomb Records in Bath and began producing in 1994, and he counts himself among the instigators of UK hardcore techno. He fronts the experimental hardcore label Rebelscum, has recorded often with Deathchant's Julian Cobb and the French hard techno DJ Manu Le Malin, and once made drum and bass on High Octane as Suspicious Circumstance. From 2005 he was managed in Europe by the Dutch label and agency The Third Movement. His sets are fast, dense and technical, and he played Dekmantel Festival in 2023.
