The Exaltics
The Exaltics is Robert Witschakowski-Jockel, based in Jena in central Germany. He began producing in the late nineties while resident DJ and booker at the club Kassablanca, where he brought Jeff Mills, Robert Hood and Claude Young to the city for the first time. His shadowy, science-fiction electro has come out on Bunker, Crème Organization, Clone West Coast Series, Shipwrec and TRUST, but mostly on Solar One Music, the label he runs with lifelong friend and Crotaphytus partner Nico Jagiella, which has also released Helena Hauff and Convextion as E.R.P. He has collaborated with Drexciya's Gerald Donald as Project STS-31 and with Arne Weinberg as Val_Ex. His live acid show brought him to Dekmantel Festival in 2019, and he recorded a Dekmantel podcast.
