The Mover

The Mover is the darkest and most enduring alias of Marc Acardipane, the Frankfurt producer who co-founded Planet Core Productions in 1989 and, as Mescalinum United, made We Have Arrived, one of the first hardcore techno records. Where his Marshall Masters and Turbulence records filled Dutch gabber halls in the nineties, The Mover is slower and heavier: doom-laden rave, hyperactive electro and propulsive techno built on the PCP sound. Acardipane later founded Acardipane Records and Resident E Recordings after moving to Hamburg. He performs The Mover as a live set, and brought it to the UFO II stage at Dekmantel Festival.
