Timnah

Timnah Sommerfeldt grew up around her parents' jazz clubs in Basel, Switzerland, with a brother who steered her towards dub and soundsystem culture. Both threads run through her DJing: techno at its core, but built with unusual sounds, sudden turns and a preference for story over genre. She is part of the Amenthia Recordings collective in Basel, where she holds a residency for the label's parties and once co-hosted a radio show with co-founder Garçon, and she is a member of the A Walking Contradiction collective. She also holds a residency at Mostra Festival in Barcelona. At Dekmantel Festival she played alongside Loek Frey.
