TITIA

TITIA is Titia van Beckum, an Amsterdam DJ who started out spinning local parties as the main selector of the Supergirls collective. Her preferences sit in 1988 and 1989: house from Chicago and Detroit, acid, and the occasional Italo disco record, balanced against new releases with the same raunchy, authentic sound. That raw and grimy vibe took her to IsBurning, the queer house and techno party founded by Carlos Valdes and Sandrien in 2014, where she played the second edition in the basement of Trouw and has been a resident since. She has played Get On Down, Milkshake Festival, Closure, Radion and Kraftwerk in Berlin, made her Boiler Room debut with IsBurning at ADE, and recorded a Radio by IsBurning session for Dekmantel Connects.
