Toumba

Toumba sits on the crest of a wave of experimental artists in his hometown of Amman, Jordan. He mixes a passion for UK rave and the hardcore continuum with the traditional rhythmic forms of his homeland. After outings on All Centre and Hypnic Jerks, a debut EP on Hessle Audio made him one of the most talked-about producers around. His staggered broken beats, hefty sub bass and knack for a catchy rhythm are exceptional in design and execution. As a DJ he is no less meticulous, working through dozens of tracks in a set, many of them his own, alongside the likes of Scratcha DVA, Migos, DJ Paypal and The Maghreban, loose and lithe to start before tightening the screw into an all-body workout.
