TR-101

TR-101 is the live project of two Berlin techno figures, DJ Pete and Sleeparchive. Peter Kuschnereit grew up in Kreuzberg, where he still lives and works, and in 1991 he started at the Hard Wax record shop, the counter that shaped a generation of Berlin DJs and producers. Stephan Metzger records as Sleeparchive: minimal, stripped techno with a machine pulse, released through his own Hardwax-distributed label on records such as Elephant Island, Recycle, Infrared Glow, Research and Hadron, and heard in his remix of Monolake's Plumbicon. Together the pair build reduced, hypnotic techno live from hardware, and the project has appeared at Amsterdam Dance Event among its European dates.
