Vedomir

Vedomir is an alias of Mikhaylo Vityk, the Ukrainian producer from Konotop better known as Vakula. Where Vakula deals in raw, loose deep house, Vedomir gives him room to wander: downtempo, near-jazz slow burners, haunted Chicago house with an analogue grain, dark electro and open ambient passages. The project has a close tie to Dekmantel. The Orthodox Ambient EP came first, followed by the self-titled Vedomir album, one of the label's early full-lengths, made entirely from unreleased material. Three of its tracks feature Vasiliy Filatov.
