Vladimir Ivkovic

Vladimir Ivkovic was born and raised in Belgrade and first DJed as a teenager in the mid eighties. He left Yugoslavia to study in Germany, and on a summer visit home he took over the decks at impromptu parties in his parents' lakeside restaurant. Two decades of running events such as Selected and Substance led him to Salon des Amateurs in Dusseldorf, the small bar club where he became a resident and a fixture of its open, genre free approach. In 2015 he launched Offen Music, a label where Serbian rarities sit beside ambient, moody synth pop and modern dance records. He has held a Nowadays residency in New York and hosted Lunatic Love Songs on Red Bull Radio and Zaum on Rovr. His sets are slow, strange and patient.
