Voiski

Luc Kheradmand makes techno in Paris under the name Voiski, and takes a deliberately crooked path through it. His records for L.I.E.S., Delsin, Russian Torrent Versions and Clone move between classic Detroit machine funk, euro dance melody, old-school breakbeat mechanics and trance-leaning euphoria, always with an eye on the floor. He co-runs Dement3d with Heartbeat and Francois X, works closely with Silicate Musique, and is one half of the duo Kartei. Voiski recorded Dekmantel Podcast 041, and his EP I'll Be Your Maple Pecan Tonight was the third release in Dekmantel's UFO series: five tracks that stretch from ambient drift to bass-heavy, breakbeat-driven techno in a single sitting.
