Zvrra

Zvrra is an avant-garde artist. Her background as a video game developer has a clear influence on the music she makes, which can be anything from industrial to techno, witch house to hip hop, though it most often lives in the spaces between. Her album Bizzaroland on Avian is a fine example, united by an eerie darkness that keeps you looking over your shoulder. She gets ideas for music from visuals, graphics and game art assets, and she purposely reaches for things outside the standard toolkit. Her sets are full steam ahead through a shadowy world of grit and grime, techno excursions through rhythms from flat-footed to floating, broken to brutal, built from tracks by friends and the smaller artists she digs up on Bandcamp and Soundcloud.
