AGY3NA

AGY3NA draws on many different things in the music he plays and the messages he shares. His identity as a gay Black man who grew up in Germany informs everything from his DJing to the parties he promotes. He has a background playing baritone and percussion, a degree in psychology and a master's in cognitive science, and he continues academic research alongside his music. That music blends house, electro and Afrofuturism, with a focus on feelings of freedom and playful rhythms drawn from many genres and decades. His mixing style is unobtrusive and efficient, moving from gentle rhythms and organic pads through Afro-centric grooves, broken beats and worldly percussion.
