AliA

AliA is the Belgian DJ Alyah Rivière, who first drew attention at seventeen with selections and technical skill well beyond her years. She went on to become a resident at HORST Festival in Belgium and to play Worldwide, Dimensions and Lowlands, and she is linked to the Belgian label Artisjok Records. Her sets connect sounds that seem far apart: lo-fi house turns into breezy jazz-funk, a lush vocal cut drops into dark, dirty bass, and speed and style matter less than the quality of the record. Her Dekmantel Podcast showed that range in one easy flow, suited as much to a long drive as to a warm-up. She played the Beach Main stage at Dekmantel Selectors 2022 with DTM Funk.
