Düsseldorf native Binh has taken digging for records to new levels of obsession. His almost unmatched passion for picking out unknown treasures has made him an underground favourite for over a decade. His sound, whether going long in Berlin or playing back to back with other cult selectors, carries a sense of threat, foreboding and dark futurism that is utterly captivating. He runs the Time Passage label, and his sets lean on new releases and material from it: minimal pressure built on a thudding kick and spangled synths, with ghoulish voices lurking in the shadows, elastic rhythms, sparse chords that become uplifting beacons, and subtle shifts in momentum.
