Düsseldorf native Binh has taken digging for records to new levels of obsession. His almost unmatched passion for picking out unknown treasures has made him an underground favourite for over a decade. His sound, whether going long in Berlin or b2b with other cult selectors, has a sense of threat, foreboding and dark futurism that is utterly captivating.
This August, Binh will join us for the 10th edition of Dekmantel Selectors in Croatia, but first comes 75 minutes of minimal pressure built mainly from new releases and material from his Time Passage label. Between the thudding kick and spangled synths, ghoulish voices lurk in the shadows. Elastic rhythms trap you in the moment, sparse chords become uplifting beacons, and as the mix unfolds, the subtle shifts in momentum keep you on edge and excited for what’s coming next.
