Giant Swan

Giant Swan is the Bristol duo of Robin Stewart and Harry Wright, who came to dance music from years as guitarists in the band The Naturals. Named after a track by The Blood Brothers, the project began as a side project and absorbed influences from My Bloody Valentine and Lightning Bolt to Bristol's dub sound systems and the Young Echo collective. Their improvised live shows, played facing each other between walls of amplifiers, fuse aggressive techno with Stewart's contorted vocals and shards of abused guitar noise. EPs on Whities, Timedance, Mannequin and Keck led to a self-titled debut album. They have played Unsound, Berlin Atonal, Berghain and Tresor, produced a track for Moor Mother, and argue consistently for inclusive, equal club spaces. They also recorded a Dekmantel Podcast.
