LYZZA

Brazilian-born and Amsterdam-raised, LYZZA started uploading music to the internet and DJing clubs and Vogue Balls at fifteen, and reached rooms such as Berghain, Fabric, K41 and DC10 before her mid-twenties. Her 2017 record PowerPlay, a collision of club music, distortion and instinct, became an early reference for what was later called deconstructed club music. The 2022 mixtape MOSQUITO, released through the Ninja Tune imprint Big Dada, carried her songs to US and Latin American radio. She has collaborated with SOPHIE, Mykki Blanco, Nicolas Jaar and Emel Mathlouthi, worked on fashion and image projects with Mugler and SHOWstudio, and became the youngest artist to exhibit at the Serpentine Gallery in London. Her work moves between club, gallery, radio and runway.
