Mark Fell

Mark Fell is a producer and artist based in Rotherham, in the industrial north of England near Sheffield. His work examines the politics and ideologies of dance and experimental music culture, taking fragments of club genres out of context and stripping them to their barest logic, and it runs alongside a sound art and installation practice. He formed the duo Snd with Mat Steel and has also recorded as Sensate Focus. His solo albums include Multistability on Raster-Noton, UL8, Manitutshu and Sentielle Objectif Actualité on Editions Mego, and Intra on Boomkat Editions, and he recorded The Neurobiology of Moral Decision Making with Gábor Lázár. His Dekmantel Podcast mixed Human League, Florian Hecker and post-punk with hip hop, disco and the voice of William Burroughs.
