Talismann

Talismann is the darker techno alias of Dutch producer Guy Blanken, who also records house and downtempo as Makam. Since early tracks such as Mars Wars and Zula in 2012, the project has stood for heavy, dubby techno built for dance floor meditation, released exclusively on his own Talismann Records, which also houses inky ambient. Slagmann, his collaboration with Slagwerk Den Haag, produced the album Krysalis. The three-part album Percussion followed, then KLINIEK, a nine-part EP series that also gives its name to his own club events. Amsterdam venues Trouw and De School became home ground over two decades of club work, and he has played Dekmantel Festival both live and as a DJ.
