Territroy

Territroy is the Greek duo of Panagiotis Melidis, who records as Larry Gus for DFA, and Stathis Kalatzis, the techno producer formerly known as Mr. Statik. Their debut album Skulls & Plants came out on Dekmantel's UFO series, ten tracks that move between experimental electronics, EBM and techno, anchored by insistent rhythms drawn from Mediterranean and Southern European traditions. The record takes its cue from the AGET Heracles cement plant in Volos, a factory that dominates the coastline and, for the duo, stands as a picture of nature, industry and material fused into one landscape. The two describe their working method as a contest between opposites that somehow holds together.
