Wonja

Oakland DJ and producer Wonja is a record collector of rare depth, known for mixes filled with music that is hard to describe and harder to find. Her range runs from teary-eyed Italo disco through world music to club-ready tracks, and her Wood Glass Metal mix series maps some of its quieter corners. She also produces, alone and with her partner Dan as Motoko & Myers, though her main drive is to hear and share as much music as possible. She has guested on NTS for Adam Oko, Last Resort, Bill Spencer's A Month of Sundays and James K's Trip Lick, and her two-hour Dekmantel Podcast drifts through what her partner calls hard sci-fi party tracks.
