First ever Dekmantel release sets the standard thanks to the multi-talented Israeli duo Juju & Jordash. Coming from a various musical background which includes post-rock, jazz and ethnic both Juju as Jordash started playing instruments at very young age. While Juju is the man on the guitar , Jordash on the other hand swore devotion to the piano. These early encounters with music are paying off ever since. After releasing applauded EP’s on well respected labels like Psychostasia, Real Soon, Rope A Dope and Aesthetic Audio their self titled debut album sees the light of day on the freshly formed Dekmantel label.
Pinpointing Juju & Jordash’ style isn’t an easy thing to do. If one would tell you they make fearless and jackin Chicago house they’d reply with a cosmic experimental slow jam. As a result, the LP ranges from experimental tracks like the guitar flooded Jugdish and the jazzy jam Niks till the pulsing deeper stuff like Time Slip Remix and Quasi. Deep Blue Meanies, Pulse A Denura, Dirty Spikes and Jazzy Trance are pure dance floor material: raw, energetic and full of musical bliss.
