Retro-futurism meets seriously slapping basslines, conjuring 1970s disco danceability. The band is known about collaborations with some of the best-known and loved veterans of the afro-beat, funk and soul canon like Cape Verdean singer Americo Brito, Brazillian funkster Ed Motta and the legendary Orlando Julius. On their forthcoming 2021 album The Seed the Arp Frique familly also welcomes Dutch-Ghanian vocalist and Afro-pop musician Mariseya.
