Amsterdam DJ Job Jobse has long been a local favourite for his richly melodic take on house, techno, Italo and disco, a style he is happy to call trance. He built his following in the city's clubs and held a residency at De School, with a reputation for the right record at the right moment. His sets move from warm, dreamy house to dubby electro and new age techno, often with a sense of uplift and emotional release, and he has released music on De Vlieger. He closed Lentekabinet in 2019 and recorded Dekmantel Podcast 231 for the occasion. Later he made the 500th Dekmantel mix, a four-and-a-half-hour selection he called the most personal mix he had made.
