Makam

Guy Blanken approaches his Makam moniker with house music as a launching pad for deep experimentation. Rooted in warm, rolling house but stretching into hypnotic, psychedelic and percussive territory, Makam is Blanken's most exploratory outlet and, by common consent, one of the best DJs the Dutch scene has to offer. He is equally loved for his techno-oriented work as Talismann. A longtime Dekmantel resident, he returns to Dekmantel Records regularly, including the Tarp EP, and his records for the label draw on a boundless archive.
