Before summer arrives in full force and the festival season kicks off, it’s time for our annual spring celebration: Lentekabinet! Taking place just outside Amsterdam, in the green surroundings of Het Twiske, our two-day festival is the ultimate occasion to reunite and reconnect—with music, nature, each other, the arts, and the most adventurous local and global artists. To our delight, the weather gods smiled on us this year, blessing our revamped and renamed stages with perfect dancing conditions. Whether you missed Lentekabinet 2024 or simply want to relive the magic, here are 10 highlights that defined this year’s spring fling.
Day 1, highlight 1
Dutch dance master Job Jobse took center stage on Lentekabinet’s Saturday, not only curating and hosting our Poppy stage but also delivering a joy-packed opening set. Why wait for prime time when prime time can last all day?
Day 1, highlight 2
Based in Belgium but performing on the world’s best stages, Charlotte Adigéry & Bolis Pupul delivered an early treat to the Lotus crowd. Their live show was warm, funky, intelligent, danceable, and effortlessly fun—while still striking a serious (but never too serious) note.
Day 1, highlight 3
At this point, Eris Drew & Octo Octa need no introduction—but we’ll sing their praises anyway. Just when we thought this iconic duo couldn’t possibly top their legendary Dekmantel Festival closing, they did it again. And when the needle dropped on Coeo’s ‘Planet Earth’, earth and heaven merged into one.
Day 1, highlight 4
Closing out our first day at The Swamp, ghetto-tech pioneer DJ Godfather delivered a high-energy slice of Detroit to Het Twiske. Think: lightning-fast mixing, banger after bulldozer banger, and a genre-spanning ride from footwork to techno, all punctuated by sharp, skittering vocals.
Day 1, highlight 5
Another iconic closing unfolded at our Sundew stage (in collaboration with kanaal40), where Australian star Surusinghe came, saw, and conquered. Her recipe for an unforgettable shutdown? High-energy techno meets body-popping, reggaeton-adjacent percussion. Onward!
Day 2, highlight 1
On the heels of a flawless Poppy opening by Jennifer Loveless, D.Tiffany graced Lentekabinet ’24 with a rare live set. Picture this: an hour-long journey through lush, emotive, feel-good grooves. The best part? You can now replay it here!
Day 2, highlight 2
Highlighting the richness and diversity of club music from the SWANA region, Sunday at The Swamp delivered nothing short of electronic excellence. Deena Abelwahed and DJ Plead went back-to-back, Etran de L’Aïr mesmerized with their hypnotic guitar riffs, and LazerGazer—judging by the crowd—proved to be the DJs’ favourite DJ.
Day 2, highlight 3
Back at Poppy, powerhouses Sedef Adasï and Bashkka proved why they’re the ultimate rising stars on the festival circuit. From lighthearted house hoovers to heavy rollers with fierce, well-timed vocals—it’s a winning, twinning formula.
Day 2, highlight 4
Gqom king DJ Lag brought the sound of Durban to our Sundew stage–in collaboration with Kanaal40. The grounds of Het Twiske are still trembling..
Day 2, highlight 5
Closing out Lentekabinet with a bang! Amsterdam's instrumental collective Jungle By Night brought their every-energetic live performance to our brand new Lotus stage.
